The Do’s and Don’ts on Dealing With Heartbreak and Finding True Healing

Hello, Hello! I hope you are all doing well! So this is one post I have really been wanting to work on for a while now. A couple of weeks ago I posted a poll on what y’all wanted to hear about on Instagram. “What did y’all want to hear? Serving Others or Lessons About Heartbreak.” And what I have decided to do is to do both posts! So, spoiler alert, that will be the next blog post, and for this week I am going to give y’all some helpful tips to help y’all get through a heartbreak. This is something that I have gone through a few times and I know how painful it is. This is a type of pain that if not dealt with properly can really warp your views, not only on life, but future relationships. I know because I’ve been there. I know because I am having to really explore and find those areas of my heart that have been broken, stepped on, and walked over once more due to my decisions on how I decided to deal with the pain. I write to encourage you to not be like me. I write to help you, and give you real, applicable advice to help you move through these murky waters and into the place of healing. With that being said, I am praying for each and everyone of you, and I hope this helps. Please feel free to like, comment, and subscribe; also, if you have any other tips, please feel free to share them below. Without further ado, let’s dive on in!

Why in the World is God the Way God is? Why Do Hard Times Occur/ Why Are Our Callings so Freaking Scary? Pt. 3 of the Series

Hello Hello, Beautiful People! I hope you all are doing well! So as the past week has been going on, a lot of prevalent roadblocks… er… what I considered inescapable fires came up in my faith. These obstacles really exposed a lot of hindrance in my faith that God has currently been using to further grow me. To say the least, it has been a very interesting week. Deep questions have been raised. Ugliness has been shown and the true nature of me and our God has been shown. That is why I am super excited to share this post with y’all. When I first studied this story it really resonated with everything I have been writing about, but now since I have experienced God in this way, it brings about the passion that I have about the Truth that I know with such fervor, I can’t help but be excited about it all. With that being said, I want to give y’all the daily reminder to please like, subscribe, and comment on my posts. I would love to hear your feedback and help y’all anyway I can. With that being said, let’s dive on in!

Why in the World is God the Way God is? Pt. 2 of The Series

Hello Hello, Beautiful People! I hope you are all doing well! So this is officially the second post of this series, and to say I’m practically bouncing off the walls to write about what I’ve learned for y’all is an understatement. Recently, I have come to the understanding of how many people are actually so confused as to why God acts in the way He does, for I’m not the only one who gets super confused by it all sometimes, and therefore, it is relatable to all of us no matter what season we are in. With that being said, let’s dive on in, and as always please like, comment, and subscribe to my blog by clicking the button to the right on the Home page OR if reading on your mobile device, click the grey button on the bottom of the screen.

Why in the World is God the Way God is?

Hello Hello, Beautiful People! I hope you are all doing well! As we Segway into today’s post, I want to make an announcement: I will be posting every other Friday. I have been doing some research, and in order for me to really be consistent with this, it would be best if I posted every two weeks on Friday’s at noon instead of Monday mornings at nine. Also, as usual, feel free to like, comment, and subscribe to my email list for this blog.

With that being said, there is something I’ve been wrestling with recently. Why in the world does God act and move in the ways He does? Why does pain occur? Why is heartbreak allowed? Why in the world am I here? What’s the point?

Why does God act in the ways that He does?

WTHeck Series Pt. 4 Lessons from a Heartbreak

“Like the Dawn, She Will Rise”

Hello Hello Beautiful People! I hope you all are doing well! So this will officially be the last post of my series, “What The Heck Does It Mean To Be Loved By God And Why Is It So Important?”

The last thing I want to discuss with y’all is the thing I named this blog post about.” Lessons From a Heartbreak.” As I have walked my almost twenty years of life, (is four months away too soon to start rounding up your age? Asking for a friend.) heartbreak is one thing I know quite well. It’s painful. It’s ugly, yet many of the romance movies and literature of this era are beginning to romanticize it, taint it with a pink Rosé-esque glow. They allude here that the process of healing as easy as a one-time chocolate ice cream binging, ugly-cry session, and then you’ll be completely okay; however, it is nowhere near as quick of a process. Trust me, I’ve walked through numerous cases of heartbreak, and it has never been as quick to get over as one ugly-cry session and one box of chocolates inhaled and I’m fine. I wish it were that simple.

These cases of heartbreak in Hollywood are quick to jump over the nights where you are sobbing in the shower and barely holding on to what little of reality you have left. They hurdle over the nights where you question why on Earth you aren’t good enough. They shuffle around why men and women alike go to great lengths to find love. And God forbid, they tackle the emotional damage heartbreak can leave on a person.

But hey, that’s what I’m here for. This is something I want y’all to understand: With breakups, heartbreak, etc. it is going to take time. The healing process is never going to be easy, but when it is placed in the hands of the Lord, you will find what true fulfillment, growth, healing, and strength feels like.

Let’s be real, these heartbreak seasons suck. Period. There’s no beating around the bush, nor easy way to get through them. Period. However, they teach irreplaceable life lessons that wouldn’t have been known have we not walked through them. With that being said, allow me to tell you my most recent season of heartbreak and the lessons God has taught me because of it.

What the Heck Pt. 2 of the Series

Hello Hello, Beautiful People! I hope you are all doing well! So this is the second part of the series, and I’m really excited to continue divulging into this topic with Y’all.  So last week, we dove into the topic of how His love enables us to be strong and go through circumstances that we couldn’t imagine being possible. This week, we will be analyzing the most beautiful thing that it means to be loved by God: the mere opportunity to be called His child– if we accept His Son. Allow me to explain it through a piece of writing I wrote back in January: Continue reading
